  • MEASURE SALT DIRECTLY AS SODIUM CHLORIDE. Ion selective electrode system measures sodium chloride concentrations directly without interference from most other ions and other food components.
  • INDISPENSABLE TOOL FOR PROCESS CONTROL. Rapid direct reading salt determination is ideal for process control. You can quickly check your salter and adjust it to make sure the proper amount of salt is being added.
  • MEASURE SALT IN BOTH SOLID AND LIQUID FOODS. Ultra-SR Salt system can measure salt in both solid foods such as meats, canned vegetables and cheese, and liquid foods such as soft drinks and vegetable juices.
  • ELIMINATE TEDIOUS TIME CONSUMING TITRATION. The salt measurement system is direct reading and avoids the tedious titration method using silver nitrate with potassium dichromate indicator.
  • MINIMAL INTERFERENCE. Salt measurement is unaffected by other ions, sample color or turbidity.
  • SUPERIOR TO CONDUCTIVITY MEASUREMENT. The Ultra-SR Salt measurement system is specific to sodium chloride only and is not affected by other ions as is the case with salt meters based on conductivity readings.Â

  • EASY TO SETUP AND RUN. Measuring Salt content with the Ultra-SR system involves a simple calibration procedure followed by the introduction of the diluted liquid sample of pulverized and diluted solid sample into sample chamber. Salt content in % salt is read out directly on the digital display of the SR-6250 salt Meter.
  • RAPID ANALYSIS TIME. After the sample has been prepared, typical analysis time per sample is 2 to 5 minutes as compared to 30 minutes for the titration method.
  • BROAD SALT MEASUREMENT RANGE. The SR-6250 System can measure salt concentration as low as 0.01% salt up to an upper limit of 10% salt.
